Privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026. This covers the Next Chapter Guides store at next-chapter-career-guides.whop.site. The blog at nextchaptergide.site is hosted by WordPress.com and is covered at the end.
Who we are
Next Chapter Guides is run by Yashu Jambu. We sell practical PDF guides for people changing careers. If you have a question about your data, message us on Threads at @yashujambu.
What we collect
1. Visits to the store and the blog. We use our own simple analytics. It does not use cookies and does not collect your name or email. It records:
- a random visitor ID kept in your browser, so we can tell that a visit to the blog and a visit to the store came from the same browser;
- the pages you view, and whether you scroll about halfway or near the end of an article;
- clicks on links to the store and on Buy buttons;
- where you came from, such as Threads, Reddit or Google;
- your approximate country and whether you use a phone or a computer.
We do not run this analytics if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. You can also switch it off by adding ?nc_off=1 to the end of any page address on either site.
2. The quiz and your result sheet. If you take the “Why do I hate my job?” quiz, your individual answers stay in your browser and are not saved by us. At the end you can enter your email address to get your result sheet and our email series. When you do, we save your email address, your four scores, your main cause, your consent to the emails, your visitor ID and the source that sent you to the quiz. We also note, with that visitor ID, whether you later opened the free calculator page, so we do not send you a reminder you do not need. If you join a waitlist on the “next step” page, we save your email address and which waitlist you joined.
The email series. You must tick a box to receive it. It is about eight emails over roughly a month: your result, a free calculator, a few articles that match your result, and one email about paid help on day 30. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails to that address straight away. Waitlist sign-ups get one email when that offer opens, and nothing else.
3. Purchases. Payments are handled by Whop, who act as the seller and process your payment. We never see your card details. We receive a record that an order happened: the order number, which guide, the amount, the currency and your country. We do not store your name, email or card details from the order.
Why we use it
- To send you what you asked for, such as your result sheet.
- To send you the email series described above, only if you ticked the box for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand which pages and guides help people, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your details and we do not use them for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores the analytics, the email list and the email schedule in a private database.
- Resend sends our emails. It receives your email address and the email text.
- Vercel hosts the store website.
- Whop takes payments and delivers your download.
- Google Fonts and Cloudflare (cdnjs) supply the fonts and the small script that builds your result sheet. Your browser contacts them when a page loads, so they see your IP address.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep the address only to remember not to email you again, unless you ask us to delete it. We keep analytics records only for as long as they are useful for improving the site.
Your choices
- Ask us to show you, correct or delete the details we hold about you. Message us on Threads, using the same email address you gave.
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Turn off analytics as described above.
Children
This site is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their details.
The blog
The blog at nextchaptergide.site is hosted by WordPress.com, which may use cookies and keep its own records, under its own policies. Our analytics script also runs on the blog as described above.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
